“This book contains a thoroughly thought-through plan to remake Washington, D.C. by putting the government’s focus on the needs of the people. Mr. Eberlein argues that the only thing that can save the government from corruption (from itself basically) is a complete overhaul of the system.”

Kristal James, Fivebooks.com

“In The 90-Degree Turn JB Fred Eberlein draws on his own personal experience, as well as extensive research, to frame an incisive assessment and diagnosis of the current state of the US Federal Government’s dysfunction.”

Stephen Ryan

“Fascinating read. Tells how the government and the politicians really work and their real motivation. Presents a solution for today's ineffective government."

Frederic R White

“An illuminating read from one who is not part of Washington but in his roles selling to the government has seen the inefficiencies first-hand.”

William Yao

“Accessible and engaging, the book provides a firsthand account of the insides of the Federal Government."

About the Author

After earning an undergraduate degree in Political Science in 1975, Eberlein moved to Washington in search of a master's degree and a future in the foreign service. But, instead of entering the government, Eberlein became a beltway bandit – a salesman of computer services and software to Washington's expansive bureaucracy. In 1991, his journey went global when Eberlein moved to Germany with Oracle Corporation. There he worked with the U.S. Army Europe, as it right-sized in the wake of the Soviet collapse. Later, Eberlein moved to Vienna, Austria, where he led sales for Oracle in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Hungary, before joining Sweden's Scala Business Solutions and moving to Budapest. A few years later, Eberlein moved to Sweden, where he assumed the role of Managing Director for Scala's home market.

The author's business insights and firsthand experience with Washington's spending addiction make this book essential reading for anyone who wants to break from the noise of politics and return to the business of America.
